Dr Louisa Kent

Dr Louisa Kent is undertaking a clinical fellowship with the NHS Highly Specialised Service for Rare Mitochondrial Disorders in Oxford.  

Louisa completed her undergraduate medical degree at Imperial College, London. She has been doing her post-graduate medical training in the Oxford deanery, and is currently an adult neurology trainee. She was awarded an ABN (Association of British Neurologists) Fellowship in 2011, during which time she studied the pathophysiology of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis in Professor Kevin Talbot’s research group. She subsequently obtained a D Phil in clinical neurosciences in 2015.   

She has an interest in neuromuscular neurology and mitochondrial disease, and is aiming to gain as much experience in this area as possible during her training.
