Dr Nishan Guha

Dr Nishan Guha is a Consultant in Chemical Pathology and Metabolic Medicine. He completed his Specialist Registrar training in Oxford. During this training period he gained his PhD at the University of Southampton, investigating the effects of peptide hormones on athletic performance and methods for detecting growth hormone abuse in elite athletes.

He joined the Mitochondrial Genetics clinical service in July 2015 and his other clinical interests include inherited metabolic disease, lipid disorders and obesity. He is involved in projects in the Oxford Department of Clinical Biochemistry investigating the use of FGF-21 as a marker of Mitochondrial Disease.
