
Dr Esra Erdil
Dr. Esra Erdil completed her medical degree at Marmara University Faculty of Medicine in Istanbul. She subsequently undertook her neurology training at Marmara University Hospital. During her training, Dr. Erdil engaged in research across a wide range of neurological fields, including headache, demyelinating diseases, and movement disorders. She has a particular interest in epilepsy and neuromuscular diseases. Her dedication to these areas led her to the UK, where she secured a Senior Clinical Fellowship at King's College London NHS Foundation Trust. Following completion of her Fellowship at King's College Hospital, Dr. Erdil started working as part of the Highly Specialised Rare Mitochondrial Disorders Service team at The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery. Here, she aims to actively participate in clinical trials and research, with a specific emphasis on muscle MRI, genotype-phenotype correlations, and epilepsy in mitochondrial diseases.
