I am the Highly Specialised Services manager at Queen Square, London.
My role is to provide extensive administrative support to a team of doctors and clinical nurse specialists: coordinating clinics in the Mitochondrial Diseases and channelopathy services; ensuring that new referrals are processed and appointments are booked in a timely manner; and co-ordinating follow-up appointments. I communicate with a number of clinicians such as Consultant Neurologists and Consultant Electro-Physiologists, Clinical Nurse Specialists, Physiotherapists, Biochemists, Laboratory Staff, Clinical Scientists and administrative teams.
